Every year, millions of Americans pretend that we gather around the dinner table for plates of turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce, but we all know pie is the real Thanksgiving star. Which pie takes the Thanksgiving crown?

(Source)Patti LaBelle might sell tens of thousands of sweet potato pies every day, but according to a recent YouGov survey, sweet potato isn't even in the top three. Pecan pie (my favorite) comes in third, apple is second, and pumpkin takes first place. Roughly 50 million pumpkin pies are eaten every Thanksgiving, which is a delicious way to end the fall season. I have to also give a shoutout to the Midwest, because they apparently prefer French silk pie and I don't think I've ever even had a single slice of that.
