What was one of Yoda’s original names in the first draft of The Empire Strikes Back?

One of the reasons the Star Wars universe is so rich is thanks to the cool-sounding (or weird, funny, etc.) names. And Yoda is easily one of the most memorable names in movie history.

Correct Answer: Buffy
The answer is: Buffy. Would a little green mentor by any other name be as wise? George Lucas seems to think so since Yoda almost had a name suited for a vampire slayer. It’s hard to imagine, but Yoda’s original name was actually Buffy. Screenwriter Leigh Brackett later changed it to Minch Yoda before dropping the “Minch” altogether. Source
