What was the first superhero team introduced by DC Comics?

Superheroes in the 1930s were loners with a cape (maybe a sidekick) and no interest in teamwork. Then someone figured out that putting a bunch of them in the same book would sell more copies, like a crossover episode before TV. What was the first superhero team introduced by DC Comics?

Correct Answer: The Justice Society of America
(Source)The golden age of comics was great, but it was also super messy on the corporate front. All-Star Comics pulled in heroes from All-American Publications and Detective Comics, Inc. and in its third issue, introduced the Justice Society of America. The original 1940 roster had Doctor Fate, Hourman, the Spectre, Sandman, Atom, the Flash, Green Lantern, and Hawkman. The JSA faded by 1951, and DC rolled out the Justice League in 1960. The JLA was way more popular, which makes sense when you put Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman on the same roster.
