What was the name of Michael Jackson's pet chimpanzee?

One of the things you can do when you’re an insanely rich and hugely popular music star is to just start buying whatever in the hell you damn well please.
Case in point: Michael Jackson, who once tried to buy the bones of the Elephant Man and built an amusement park in his backyard. He also bought a pet chimpanzee that quickly became part of ‘80s pop-culture history in its own right.
With all the things you could name a chimp, what do you think the King of Pop named it?

Correct Answer: Bubbles
The answer is: Bubbles. It’s unclear why this famous chimpanzee was given the name Bubbles, but somehow it seemed perfect. It’s rumored that Jackson acquired the chimp close to infancy from a research facility in Texas. When Bubbles was young, he would dress like Michael, attend events with him (even drinking tea with a mayor in Japan), and eat candy while watching movies at Neverland Ranch. But as he aged, he remembered that he was not a plaything for a pop star, and actually a chimpanzee. Following Jackson’s death he moved through a few facilities, eventually landing at the Center for Great Apes, a sanctuary in Wauchula, Florida — where he still lives to this day.Source
