Which '80s movie star had films in both the #1 and #2 spots at the weekend box office simultaneously?

The box office of the 1980s was totally bonkers. Let’s take 1987 as an example. Some of the movies that hit number one that year included Fatal Attraction, The Running Man, Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol, and Throw Momma from the Train.
I guess with no streaming services to satiate our taste for movies, and home video still coming into its own, we were happy to go see whatever the hell studios wanted to throw at us.
But one of the wildest anomalies came when the same actor starred in movies that were ranked no. 1 and no. 2 concurrently. In the ‘80s studios did enjoy grabbing anyone that was popular and just putting them in anything and everything, but this was still very unique.

Correct Answer: Michael J. Fox
The answer is: Michael J. Fox. Due to the timing of the films’ releases, Teen Wolf debuted at no. 2 behind Back to the Future in 1985. That’s a lot of Michael J. Fox, and yet somehow still not enough.Source
