Which actor plays Indiana Jones's father?

"Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" gets remembered as the Holy Grail movie, but the treasure isn't really the focus. Spielberg agreed to make a father-son story that could afford to lose the Grail entirely, and (spoiler) that's exactly what happens. Which actor plays Indiana Jones's father?
▼
Correct Answer: Sean Connery
(Source)Indy was invented to outdo James Bond, so you can kinda think of Bond as his spiritual father. And considering Sean Connery plays Henry Jones Sr., you could also literally consider Bond to be Indy's dad. Connery initially rejected the role because he was only 12 years older than Harrison Ford, but the casting choice was too perfect, and a little Hollywood makeup could easily turn 12 years into 24. When Spielberg called Connery back for 2008's "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," Connery told him to just kill Henry off. I wouldn't even label that one of Connery's top five worst career moves, but that's a story for another time.
