Anytime I get a bug bite, I assume I’m going to die. That’s because it’s been drilled into me that basically every animal out there is super dangerous. Why? Because of venom.
Walking through the grass? Watch for snakes. Putting your shoes on? Killer spiders. Taking a swim? Jellyfish are out for you. It seems like everywhere you go, there’s a venomous animal willing to take you down. In fact, it’s estimated that there are some 200,000 species of venomous animals out there just waiting to kill you. Well, maybe they’re just trying to get some prey, but still, that’s kind of insane.
But the effects of venom can range from mildly annoying, like most bug bites, to downright deadly. And among all of the deadly animals out there, scientists have identified one that has the deadliest venom of all. Which animal is it?

Correct Answer: Snail
The answer is: Snail. Measuring venom is a bit of a tricky task, so it’s kind of easier to figure out which venom is the deadliest. And that comes to us courtesy of a snail — but not just any snail, the Geography Cone snail.Using a complex toxin that immobilizes its prey, this cone snail can consume entire schools of fish without ever having to move very fast at all.Source
