That year, they went with "Annie Hall," where Woody Allen wore so many hats that he became only the second person to earn Oscar nominations for acting, directing, and writing the same film. The movie won four Oscars that night, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Actress for Diane Keaton. Allen skipped the ceremony to play his standing Monday-night clarinet gig in New York.
