Who has been in the Eagles the longest?

The Eagles have never been a band to take it easy when it comes to lineup changes. Through decades of drama, breakups, reunions, and legal battles, members have come and gone, but the band managed to keep soaring. Who is the longest-serving member of the Eagles?

Correct Answer: Don Henley
(Source)Back in high school, Don Henley's football coach told him he was too small for the sport, and so Henley decided to try music instead. I think it's fair to say he never intended on being a part of one of the best-selling bands of all time and becoming its longest serving member. He cofounded the band in 1971 alongside Bernie Leadon (who left in 1975), Randy Meisner (who left in 1977), and Glenn Frey (who passed away in 2016). Henley weathered the band's messy 1980 breakup, their 1994 comeback, endless personnel shuffles, and that whole legal nightmare with Don Felder getting booted in 2001. Now at 78, he's still enjoying performing and getting ready to wrap up the band's residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
