Who holds the record for the most home runs in MLB history?

Baseball fans have always been obsessed with the long ball. From kids practicing their home run calls in the backyard to packed stadiums holding their breath during every at-bat, nothing gets crowds more excited than watching one sail over the fence. Looking at all those magical moments, which slugger managed to rack up the most dingers in MLB history?
▼
Correct Answer: Barry Bonds
Barry Bonds finished his career in 2007 with a mammoth 762 home runs, passing Hank Aaron's seemingly untouchable mark of 755 that had stood since 1974. While some fans might point to Bonds' suspiciously expanding hat size during his later seasons, there's no arguing that watching number 25 launch baseballs into McCovey Cove was pure baseball theater. The hype was so real that the Giants even installed a splash counter in the outfield to track his water landings.
