Who provides the voice of baby Mikey in "Look Who’s Talking"?

"Look Who's Talking" took the 1989 box office by storm with a ridiculous premise about a baby whose cynical thoughts we could all hear. The movie paired John Travolta and Kirstie Alley as romantic leads, but the real star was the voice behind baby Mikey's running commentary. Which actor provided the unmistakable voice behind baby Mikey's sarcastic observations?

Correct Answer: Bruce Willis
(Source)Director Amy Heckerling needed someone who could deliver sarcastic one-liners from an infant's perspective, and she found the perfect match in an actor who was busy blowing up buildings and taking names. Bruce Willis had just finished "Die Hard" the year before and was at the height of his action star fame. After crawling through air ducts and shooting bad guys, a pivot to a comfy voiceover role providing commentary as a baby who complains about diaper changes sounded pretty good. Willis brought his dry, wisecracking delivery to lines like "You thinking what I'm thinking? Yeah, lunch!" and made audiences forget they were listening to the same voice that had been yelling "Yippee-ki-yay" just months earlier. The role was such a hit that Willis returned to voice Mikey in the 1990 sequel "Look Who's Talking Too," where the toddler had to deal with his new baby sister Julie.
