Who turned down the role of Yoda for The Empire Strikes Back?

You can go on and on about how much you hate the Special Editions, but we all know if you were in a room with George Lucas there isn’t a single damn thing you wouldn’t do if he asked you.

But in the annals of Star Wars history, there are a few souls who dared to do the impossible. And believe it or not, someone even once turned down the role of Yoda.

It’s amazing to think just how close some of the most classic movies were to being completely different, and in this case Yoda’s iconic way of speaking could have never existed.
