Who voiced the mysterious Robin Masters in "Magnum, P.I."?

I have to say, I’m jealous of Thomas Magnum. He lives on a sweet property in Hawaii, has some great friends, and clearly never skips leg day based on those shorts he likes to wear.
And of course, dear reader, we’re talking about the original run of "Magnum, P.I." here, going from 1980 to 1988. Not the 2018 monstrosity that I refuse to watch.
Magnum only gets to enjoy such a luxurious lifestyle thanks to the mysterious owner of the property where he apparently gets to stay for free. Robin Masters is a celebrated author who seems to be super rich, and also someone to whom Magnum must owe a lot of favors. He’s a P.I., but really he’s a private P.I. for Masters. So I guess that makes him a private private investigator?
While we rarely hear from Masters, and never actually see him, he does show up rarely just to let viewers know he’s there. Who famously provides the voice?

Correct Answer: Orson Welles
The answer is: Orson Welles. In the original run of Magnum, P.I., Robin Masters only appears six times, and is never actually shown on screen. For five of those appearances, the legendary Orson Welles lent his voice, before he passed away and Red Crandell handled the voice work for the final appearance.Source
