What two cities does Route 66 connect?
It’s a sad truth, but I think now Route 66 is only known by the younger generations thanks to the Cars movies. Personally, I’d rather them not know it exists than have it associated with a bucktoothed tow truck named Mater, but that’s just another cruel reminder that life isn’t fair.
I’ve never been on Route 66, and I honestly might be a little nervous to if I could. Aside from being just a little too close to 666, my mind always conjures up images of a long stretch of highway in the desert packed with bikers and truckers.
As you may have guessed, I wouldn’t exactly fit in with that crowd.
But based on where I live, I would have to go pretty far out of my way if I wanted to ride this road from end to end. I’ll use that as my excuse, but do you know which two cities this route connects?

Correct Answer: Chicago and Santa Monica
The answer is: Chicago and Santa Monica. If you could only travel down one road to see the best the U.S. has to offer between Chicago and Santa Monica (which c'mon, is basically L.A.), take a trip down the legendary Route 66. This stretch of road is about as American as it comes, crossing through eight states and totaling over 2,400 miles.Source
