If you’re like me, you watched the 1986 movie SpaceCamp and assumed that would probably happen to you someday — meaning, you’d get to check out a space shuttle in a museum or whatever and end up in space.
You also shouted at your family when watching Nickelodeon’s The Astronauts from 2020 about how they ripped off SpaceCamp.
All that said, there’s just something about space shuttles. It’s pretty amazing that we came up with the concept when we did, and every space shuttle launch was filled with risk, inspiration, and awe.
