Who has hosted Saturday Night Live the most times?

I can’t be the only one who thinks being the host of Saturday Night Live is a scam, right? I mean, you’re the guest so why are you running the show? That would be like inviting me to your restaurant, but then once I get there you say, “Surprise! You’re cooking the meal for everyone.”
I guess it used to be an honor, or whatever, but it feels an awful lot like getting paid in exposure. Now that SNL has become kind of meh, there’s not even that perk to consider.
With so many stars out there, I don’t know who it reflects worse on that a handful of people have hosted the show so many times. Do the producers just have a backup list of names they go to if no one else is interested?
If they do, this name is at the top of the list for sure, considering how many times they’ve come back to host…

Correct Answer: Alec Baldwin
The answer is: Alec Baldwin. Between 1990 and 2017 Alec Baldwin has come back to host a total of 17 episodes of SNL. He’s part of a very exclusive club known as the Five Timers, which are people who have hosted five or more episodes of the sketch comedy show. Clearly, he’s way above that threshold — but only him, Steve Martin, John Goodman, and Buck Henry have hosted 10 or more times.Source
