While there's plenty of talk these days about superhero fatigue, the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise wrapped up Volume 3 with a cool $845 million at the box office.
Of course, these Guardians aren't exactly your typical superhero team, which is exactly what makes them so compelling. James Gunn's interpretation of the Marvel comic book series stands apart from most of the other movies in the MCU, in no small part due to the tree-like creature who essentially runs through an entire lifespan throughout the course of the trilogy (and adjoining films), and whose entire language consists of only three words.
