He won three Academy Awards for "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," "Terms of Endearment," and "As Good as It Gets," and stepped away from acting after "How Do You Know."

Filmmaker John Waters (1946) cemented his Pope of Trash reputation with "Pink Flamingos" and followed with "Female Trouble" and "Desperate Living." He crossed over to the mainstream with "Hairspray," which inspired a Tony-winning Broadway musical and a film remake, and is touring his "Going to Extremes" show.

Musician Peter Frampton (1950) rose through British rock bands The Herd and Humble Pie before scoring his mainstream breakthrough with the live double album "Frampton Comes Alive!" featuring "Show Me the Way" and "Do You Feel Like We Do." He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2024 and has released the "Vinylphyle" 50th anniversary reissue of "Frampton Comes Alive!" this year.

Comedian-producer Byron Allen (1961) broke in on network TV as a teenage stand-up and co-hosted "Real People" through the early 1980s. He founded Allen Media Group to syndicate shows including "Comics Unleashed" and "America's Court with Judge Ross" and later acquired The Weather Channel.

Actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan (1966) made his breakthrough as heart patient Denny Duquette on "Grey's Anatomy" and played John Winchester on "Supernatural." Comedian-actress Sherri Shepherd (1967) played Ramona Platt on "Less than Perfect" and recurred as Angie Jordan on "30 Rock." She won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show Host as co-host of "The View" and currently hosts her daytime talk show "Sherri."

Actress Amber Heard (1986) turned heads in "Pineapple Express" and "Drive Angry" before being cast as Mera in "Aquaman."
