Singer Carly Simon (1943) picked up the Best New Artist Grammy for her debut and sent "You're So Vain" to number one, then kept the song's target a secret for more than 40 years. She swept the Oscar, Golden Globe, and Grammy for "Let the River Run" from "Working Girl," landed in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and ends an 18-year drought of original songs this year with "Comes In Waves."
