"Strawberry Fields Forever" was meant for which Beatles album?

The Beatles had a rule about not putting singles on albums. So when their label pressured them to release a new song, "Strawberry Fields Forever" was picked, and that meant it wasn't going to make it to the LP. Which Beatles album was "Strawberry Fields Forever" originally intended for?
▼
Correct Answer: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
(Source)You can blame EMI for the fact that "Strawberry Fields Forever" was tacked on to "Magical Mystery Tour" instead of where it rightfully belongs. The label pressured the Beatles for new music in 1967, and "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Penny Lane" were what they had available. Producer George Martin said leaving "Strawberry Fields Forever" off "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" was the biggest professional mistake of his life. Considering "Sgt. Pepper" went on to become one of the most important albums ever made, I get where he's coming from.
