Actress Linda Gray (1940) spent more than a decade as Sue Ellen Ewing on "Dallas" and picked up a Primetime Emmy nomination for it. Her legs are the ones on the 1967 poster for "The Graduate," she went on to play Mrs. Robinson herself in the West End and on Broadway, and she's since come back as Sue Ellen for TNT's "Dallas" and turned up in "Ladies of the '80s: A Divas Christmas."
Composer Hans Zimmer (1957) shows up in the Buggles' "Video Killed the Radio Star" video nine years before "Rain Man" earned him his first Oscar nomination, and he took home Best Original Score for "The Lion King." He's got a Golden Globe for "Gladiator" and a second Oscar for "Dune," and he's back on the sand for "Dune: Part Three" in December.
Actress Amy Yasbeck (1962) landed "Pretty Woman" and "Problem Child" in the same year, then played a Maid Marian locked into an Everlast chastity belt in "Robin Hood: Men in Tights" and followed it with "The Mask." She joined the cast of "Wings" and founded the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health.
Basketball player Yao Ming (1980) went first overall to the Houston Rockets in the 2002 NBA draft and made eight All-Star teams in nine seasons. All 7 feet 6 inches of him were still the tallest in the league the year he retired, and Houston hung his No. 11 jersey.
Singer-actress Jennifer Hudson (1981) finished seventh on "American Idol" and then won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar in her screen debut as Effie White in "Dreamgirls." She's the only "American Idol" alum to complete the EGOT, she sealed it with a Tony for producing "A Strange Loop," and she's hosted "The Jennifer Hudson Show" since 2022.
Actor Alfie Allen (1986) played Theon Greyjoy across all eight seasons of "Game of Thrones" and got a Primetime Emmy nomination for the last one. He's the guy whose crew kills the puppy in "John Wick," and he's since landed a role in "Jojo Rabbit," picked up a Tony nomination for his Broadway debut in "Hangmen," and headlined "Atomic."
