Which actress starred in NBC's "Blossom"?

Mayim Bialik landed the role of Blossom Russo and spent five seasons perfecting the art of the teenage philosophical monologue. The show launched her into teen stardom, but Bialik had plans that went way beyond Hollywood. While most former child stars were trying to shed their wholesome image, she was quietly working toward a PhD in neuroscience from UCLA. She actually took a break from acting to focus on her studies and raise her family, which is probably the most responsible thing any former teen TV star has ever done.
