"Up, up, and away" is corny. "I'm Batman" is just stating facts. Some catchphrases skip the poetry and get right to the point. Which superhero says "It's clobberin' time!"?
▼
Correct Answer: Thing
(Source)Stan Lee and Jack Kirby bet on the wrong catchphrase. They were convinced "Flame On!" would define the Fantastic Four, but the Thing didn't even say "It's clobberin' time!" until issue #22, more than two years into the run. Then the 1967 cartoon had him shout it before every single punch, and the Human Torch's battle cry became an afterthought. It's basically "Hulk smash!" for someone who passed the third grade.
